Deliverables
I list details below of the services which are included when your web site is developed by 'Circlewebs'. I provide this so as to give clients an idea of the comprehensive services included in the work I undertake. Here then is an itemised list of the processes I carry out, deliverables and roles I perform in developing of your future web site implementation.
What's Included in a 'Circlewebs' Site.
1. A Scope and Timelines Statement. I oversee and make notes on the project progress, from the gathering of requirements to final delivery. My Role - Project Manager
2. A Deliverables statement. By regular discussion with you, the customer, we should form a concensus of opinion on what is required in all aspects of the design and the timescales envolved (if you specify these). A list of deliverables based on requirements is then produced. Such a document will clearly state the expected outcomes of the web development process. Should you wish to leave the whole implementation in my hands, I can carry out a development with the minimum input from you. The choice would be yours. Role - System Designer.
3. Site Maps and Wireframes. I will develop a flexible site structure/infrastructure and interface guidelines (which should be intuitive for you to use and scalable to meet your future requirements). Role - Information Architect
4. Graphic Mockups Design and Code of static XHTML templates + CSS + Image Assets + Style Guide. I establish your site's visual design or look and feel to match your expectations. Role - Web Designer.
5. Functional Specification I will carry out configuration of Server Side Programming for dynamic database driven websites (if required). Alternatively I will carry out modular PHP or ASP.NET web page design and implementation. Role - Web Designer
6. Data Model, Database installation/Configuration Database design and build for site content and dynamic site features. Role - Database Designer.
7.Site Build Site build and local PC testing followed by deployment from mockup to real working site. Role - Web Developer.
8. Site Search Engine Submission Your new site will be actively submitted to the four most popular worldwide Search Engines. More details (and your options) within this service will be provided at the time of the submission. Role - Web Developer.
9. Site Testing Cross browser testing, robustness test, load time test and SEo test for visibility. Role - Web Developer.
Processes
From the above list we can easily separate the processes I carry out in the design and implementation of your original web site. The sub-tasks then are:
1. Site discussions and preliminary pencil sketches.
2. Template generation of all page design features.
3. Source artwork generation.
4. Client side - Source code generation for the chosen site (e.g. XHTML, CSS and JavaScript)
5. Server side - Source code generation for the chosen site (e.g. PHP, MySQL)
5. Flash animation of moving graphics/advertiseents if required. (ActionScript coding)
6. Optimization of coding for fast site access.
7. A high speed, highly reliable, secure hosting service for your site
for one year.
8. Online website statistics generation (allow tracking of visitor information).
9. Ongoing support service and maintenance is free for your site for
one year.
Site Ownership
All websites I develop are the property of the client! On completion of any website all source code and generated graphics images will (of course) be yours to keep for re-hosting elsewhere at any time. I will provide assistance in transfering your site to a new hosting company or web developer. On request your site and all of it's assets will be burned to DVD and passed over or mailed to you.
