Recommended system configuration for best viewing:

Preferred Monitor Settings: Circlewebs is optimized for a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 and the highest color setting your system will support (generally 32 bit colour or greater). If your system supports it, you can enhance your screen resolution for text by turning on the font smoothing options. Applications which allow font smoothing are 'ClearType' for Windows XP or the built-in font smoothing of Mac OS X.

Coding: This site is comprised of a series of XHTML pages, styled with CSS.

Scripting: The site is supported using the Server Side Scripting Language PHP and further served by a 'back-office' database management system MySQL. Also there are a number of Javascript procedues used to support on-page controls.

Site Design Software: The design and graphics were rendered primarily with Adobe 'Fireworks' and Adobe 'Photoshop'. The layout is done with a standard text editor and with Macromedia 'Dreamweaver' and some 'Flash'. The Typography is handled with 'Font Manager' which allows font previewing and selection.

Site Implementation Software: The layout is carried out with Macromedia 'Dreamweaver', Microsoft 'Frontpage' and some Adobe 'Flash'.

Styling: CSS layouts were used throughout and managed with 'TopStyle' and some dreamweaver controls. Tables are used within the site where appropriate.

Typography: I use the Classic font size configuration (as originally designed by Richard Rutter (Clagnut.com/blog/348/) i.e. base font set at 62.5%. The fonts used are Lucida Grande, Verdana, Geneva, Arial, sans-serif, for the body elements and -- Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Geneva, Helvetica, sans-serif - for paragraphs. The Logo font is 'Century Gothic Bold'.
